   Improve access to culturally based mental health and addictions support or intervention programs.
   Improve access to affordable and timely counselling services.
   Support households experiencing family violence.
   Increase opportunities for youth to build healthy relationships with family, peers, adults and community.
   Increase access to culturally based parenting programs and supports.
   Increase access to culturally based youth programs. 
   Increase access to programs that support the development of essential life skills in youth. 
   Increase access to outreach services that enable independent living.

This project funding opportunity is for any eligible organization that address one of the following priorities. The total funds available this year is $57,500. Brighter Futures projects can be to a maximum of $7,500 and will be available throughout the year, while funds remain. 

  1. Create opportunities that strengthen youth and young adults who identify as 2SLGBTOIA+.
  2. Innovative ideas that improve employment prospects.
  3. Innovative ideas that enable people to build assets and gain financial security.
  4. Create opportunities that strengthen members of the Indigenous community.  Projects must be led by individuals/organizations for whom the project intends to support.
  5. Create opportunities that strengthen systemically underserved communities.  Projects must be led by individuals/organizations for whom the project intends to support.

The Capital and Equipment grant is to assist eligible organizations with necessary improvements to meet licensing or safety requirements or to renovate your facility to improve or expand services. Eligible expenses include:
  • repairs or upgrades needed to conform to licensing or safety requirements
  • equipment that directly pertains to the delivery of services
  • construction, renovation or expansion costs to improve or expand delivery
Capital project funds may not be used for any of the following:
  • construction deficits
  • repairs, maintenance or work already under way or
  • completed pay for moving expenses

This fund can support costs up to $500.
This grant is open year round, while funds remain available.

The purpose of the professional development funds is to foster future leadership capacity by enabling organizational leaders, including senior staff and volunteers, to participate in professional development opportunities that enhance their ability to lead their organization. The focus will be to develop leadership skills and innovation in service delivery and development, human recource management, organizational excellence and fiscal management. Funding is provided to eligible organizations, not to individual staff or volunteers, and covers a portion of course, program or workshop registration fees, not incidental or travel expenses. The staff member or senior volunteer who will attend must be identified before applying for the grant.

This fund can support costs up to
 $500.
This grant is open year round, while funds remain available.
